Why does the argument for Latinos always go back to
"Who's going to clean your toilets or clean your offices?".
They are more than that! Don't reduce people down to menial servitude jobs or criminals. That's like defending Blacks right to be here by saying "Who's going to pick your cotton or fill your prisons?". People are people. A majority are good, hard working folks that want to be more in life than whatever you are trying to reduce their entire community down to.
I said something similar yesterday in another conversation. She obviously wasn't trying to be hateful, but it was weird that she went straight to cleaning toilets example. Not mowing lawns, doing construction or parking cars, but straight to toilets. She probably also needs to make it clear that she understands that Latin immigrants are more than just the help.
